Neighborhood Watch

The Runaway Bay Homeowner's Association (HOA) helps to deter potential crime and vandalism by sponsoring a Neighborhood Watch Program. The program is run independently of the HOA but the HOA helps by providing funding for NHW signs, paying for NHW magnetic signs for patrolling vehicles, and publicizing the NHW Program.

The NHW program has been active for many years working with the local Campbell County Sheriff's Office and has been very successful. Daily patrols of the entire neighborhood are done at random times daily and at night and all suspicious activity is reported to local police departments and daily logs are kept of all patrols.

The NHW program membership includes the majority of Runaway Bay's full time residents but non-resident property owners who occasionally come here can also participate by reporting any thefts, or suspicious activity to the Sheriff's Department
(dispatch 434-592-9574 or 911 if emergency)" as well as any member of the Runaway Bay NHW program or HOA.

If you wish to volunteer to patrol, please send an email to rbnwreport@embarqmail.com along with your name, phone number, property lot number, and how you wish to contribute.

While patrols are scheduled by the NHW Captain, anyone may report suspicious activity.

We care about the security of our neighborhood and are working hard to keep it safe and secure.
